SnoBiz®
has floated next to many movie stars and worked with many
movies, in theatres, TV, and live Broadway shows as a snow dressing and
falling snow. Working with Academy Award winning Michael Caine of Cider
House Rules, SnoBiz® was a solution. The problem with real snow is
the difficulty in moving it, having it fall exactly where you want it,
when you want to work and dissolve when the real snow dissolves. In
order for the snow to look good on screen, it must be large enough for
the camera to see it clearly, reflect enough light to make it stand out,
yet be safe for the environment. SnoBiz® mastered all of those and
more. By using a biodegradable material that dissolves on contact with
water, this organic dry, lightweight material gently floated for the
camera like soft snow flakes.

SnoBiz® --
|
SnoBiz® has been on the set with Robert Redford, Sylvester Stalone,
Sharon Stone, Tobey Maquire, Kirsten Dunst, Superman Returns
and many, many of the great movies and theatre you've enjoyed.
SnoBiz® is made to be used over again. For snowy window dressing,
this snow has traveled the world.
Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe releasing
this month on DVD uses CITC's Little Blizzard® falling snow machine
with Super Extra Dry Little Blizzard® fluid. By adding fans to blow
the snow produced out of the Little Blizzard®, flakes of snow that
would normally just fall because of water weight, become lightweight to
float longer and stay airborne. Like magic, the floating flakes fly
2000% further taking up a huge area over 75' x 100'. "When you've seen
the snow floating, you've found the magic."
Peter from Atlantic Coastal Effects has worked on many major motion
pictures with J.C. Street now doing the special effects on Law and
Order. "I think you ought to get an Academy Award for your Little
Blizzard® SP (Sound Proof). I can have a few of these machines on a
set and not have any mess to clean up, yet the director thinks I'm
making magic happen with beautiful floating snow that's easy."
Combining all three elements to make this effect magical is the way
to make it float further, last longer, and leave no residue when
landing. The Little Blizzard® Dream Team is essentially everything
you need to make this magical effect come to life. Featuring the Little
Blizzard® SP w/DMX (now lower priced than w/o DMX), 3 - 5 gallon
cubitainers (20 liters in a box) of Super Extra Dry Little Blizzard®
Fluid, The Hurricane II (the quiet fan that throws the snow 80-100'),
all of the c-clamps and safety cables (for hanging all of the items), a
Universal DMX controller (for DMX control of the Hurricane II). "When
you've seen the snow floating, you've found the magic."
